New Delhi: Gehna Vashisht has come under the radar as she reportedly changed her religion from Hinduism and converted to Islam to marry the love of her life, Faizan Ansari.
The actress, who belongs to a Pandit family from Chandigarh, has created anxiety and resentment among the community with her historic decision, leaving lakhs of people unhappy. A section of people in the community have also alleged that it is a case of love jihad.
However, contrary to the claims, a source close to the developments has argued that it is not a case of ‘love jihad’. Instead, Gehna and Faizan are madly in love with each other and their relationship is “pure”.
Furthermore, the insider has also claimed that Gehna Vashisht did not change her caste to marry Faizan Ansari, ‘it was her own personal choice’.
