Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who starred in Never Have I Ever, reacted after Rashmika Mandanna congratulated Pushpa for dancing to Sami Sami. Rashmika shared a fan’s tweet on Twitter along with a still from the event. The video is from the fourth season of the show.
Since the character is an Indian-American Tamil girl, the song on which Devi performed was the dubbed Tamil version of Sami Sami. Twitter users reposted the video with the following caption: “I’m not kidding but I was really surprised during the scene when the song started playing Allu Arjun Mass I was so happy. #NeverHaveIEverS4 #AlluArjun.”
Sharing the tweet, Rashmika wrote: “@ramakrishnan.. stunner! Well done. Sending you all my love.” Later, Maitreyi tweeted in response to Rashmika’s post: “I will never have impostor syndrome about dancing again. Thank you so much @iamRashmika.”

The show is a comedy about the complicated life of a young first generation Indian American woman in the present day. Devi, a high school student with high expectations and a temper tantrum, is portrayed by Maitreyi in the series. Mindy Kaling and Lang Fischer are executive producers for Never Have I Ever. The past seasons of Never Have I Ever are considered to be the funniest and wittiest of the show, but also one of its most uplifting. It premiered on OTT on 8 June.
