New Delhi: Music is a form of expression that allows us to express emotions sweetly. On World Music Day, &TV artists talk about their love for music and the singers they admire the most. These include Darshan Dave (Randhir Sharma, Second Mother), Sapna Sikarwar (Bimlesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) and Rohitashv Gaur (Manmohan Tiwari, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain).
Darshan Dave aka Randhir Sharma, another mother, says, “Music is a source of solace for me. My mother is a musician, and I have fond memories of hearing her sing and play instruments while growing up. He is the ultimate inspiration for me to pursue music passionately. I have produced and composed many music albums and I want to record more. Apart from singing, I can also play the guitar. Whenever I am not shooting, I like to sing or make music in my studio. Apart from my mother, I have always been a fan of Kishore Kumar ji and Mohammed Rafi ji. The two have produced some of the greatest music of all time. There is no comparison to the ability, dedication and sincerity he has shown towards music. The world would be colorless without music, so this World Music Day, enjoy your favorite music.”
Sapna Sikarwar aka Bimlesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan said, “Music relaxes me and uplifts my mood. I love listening to Sufi, Ghazals, Classical Music and Bollywood Chartbusters. One of my favorite singers is the great Asha Bhosle. She is the queen of music and I have grown up listening to her. She has been an inspiration not only to me but to millions of people. I am very glad that World Music Day reminds us to take time out from our busy lives to rejuvenate.
Rohitashv Gaur aka Manmohan Tiwari from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain says, “Music is in my blood as I come from a family that has a keen interest in the arts. I can sing decently and play tablature excellently. I learned to play tabla during my school days and till date practice it as a hobby. I got interested in music because of my sisters. My elder sister plays the sitar very well, while my younger sister is a singer. So whenever he used to play sitar and sing, I used to play tabla for him. I like classical music and like the songs of Mohammed Rafi and Manna Dey. Also, singers like Kishore Kumar ji, KJ Yesudas ji, Pankaj Udhas ji and Lata Mangeshkar ji are some of my favourites. I wish you all a very Happy World Music Day.
