One of the most handsome and skilled actors of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan is also known for his Greek God looks. With green eyes and a perfect body, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him playing a real God on the big screen. This is probably the reason why the war hero has been approached with two Ramayana retellings in the past.
According to a report in Times of India, Hrithik Roshan was approached for the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayan. The film is in the news due to its star cast, which includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Alia Bhatt as mother Sita. According to reports, Hrithik Roshan turned down the offer citing ‘other commitments’.
However, according to a report from Koimoi, This is not the first Ramayan that the actor has rejected. In 2009, Hrithik Roshan was approached to play Lord Ram in Sanjay Khan’s (former father-in-law) ambitious project Legend of Ram. As per reports, the film aimed to portray a ‘modern’ version of the Ramayana.

Om Raut Lone man also made the same claim. The film starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon has now dashed the hopes of many due to its terrible CGI and cultural inaccuracies in the character representation and dialogues.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Khan’s son Zayed Khan has reportedly been roped in to play Laxman in the film. He confirmed the same in an interview with India Glitz. In the interview, he revealed that The Legend of Rama was in production for three years and “the perfect Rama was needed.” And who other than Hrithik would be suitable for the role?
