Ratna Pathak revealed that she had a misconception about age and acting, saying, “For some reason, it got stuck in my mind that as a woman, you act till you are young. And doesn’t become beautiful. But then I looked around and I saw many women artistes who were doing good work even in their old age.
Expressing her desire to act all her life, Ratna Pathak said that as long as she is able to perform well, she does not want to worry about her looks as outer beauty is temporary and that is what really matters that’s how one acts. Ratna Pathak described her outlook as “narrow-minded” and said that she felt “pity” for the young women on set who get depressed when they don’t look good.
