ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Schedule: Tournament to be held in 10 cities, see venue-wise detailed match schedule here

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will begin on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with a match between 2019 World Cup winners England and runners-up New Zealand. India’s largest cricket stadium – the Narendra Modi Stadium – is also scheduled to host the final on 19 November. The venue will also host one of the five matches – India vs Pakistan – on 15 October.

The other nine locations are Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram will join Hyderabad in hosting the practice games.

“It is a matter of great honor and pride to host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in various cities across India, showcasing the rich diversity of our country. The enthusiasm and passion for cricket in India is unique. I am sure fans both here and abroad will be looking forward to the tournament returning to India for the first time since 2011 when our team became the first team to lift the trophy on home soil. I wish all the teams the best of luck in their preparations and look forward to hosting another exciting tournament,” BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said at the launch event on Tuesday.

The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played in Mumbai on November 15 and Kolkata on November 16. There will be reserve days in the semi-finals and final.
