New Delhi: According to a source, actor Sonam Kapoor has been invited by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, to a special reception to celebrate UK-India Week 2023.
The reception will be hosted by Rishi at his official residence and office at 10 Downing Street and is a part of India Global Forum’s flagship event UK-India Week, being held in London from June 26-30. Sonam will attend the reception on June 28 to represent India and its cultural influence globally.
UK-India Week 2023 is the 5th iteration of the IGF’s flagship event, a week-long event that seeks to build on the long-term partnership between these two countries by providing a platform to highlight important topics including politics, trade, business, sustainability, inclusion Tries to honor and strengthen. and innovation.
Earlier in May, Sonam also performed at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III. Sonam took the main stage at the Coronation Concert when she introduced various singers from across the Commonwealth. Sonam also introduced Steve Winwood, who performed a modern version of her iconic song ‘Higher Love’ accompanied by a 70-piece orchestra.
