Former Indian wicketkeeper and batsman Rishabh Pant has changed his Instagram bio a few days back. In the bio, Pant describes himself as a cricketer playing for India. They have added an additional information. This is related to his ‘second’ date of birth. It is read as 05/01/2023. Fans on social media are wondering what is this matter after all. Remember, Pant met with a horrific car accident on the Delhi-Haridwar highway on December 30 and had a near-death experience. If help was not received in time, Pant’s life could have been in danger.

A week after the accident, Pant’s injuries were operated upon and he was on the mend. It seems that he sees the date of January 5 as the day when he felt that he was completely out of danger. This may be the reason for putting his second date of birth on that date.
Check out Pant’s updated Instagram bio below:
Pant’s actual date of birth is October 4 and he will turn 26 this year. The wicketkeeper and batsman is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Pant has recently stopped walking with crutches, which is a great sign of improvement in his physical fitness. With less than 100 days left for the World Cup to begin, nobody knows how many matches Pant will be fit till October 5, when the tournament begins, but he is leaving no stone unturned to get back to peak fitness levels. .
If the 25-year-old has to make it back to the national team, he will have to play a few matches as well. There are two types of fitness level requirements that have to be met before the selectors take a call on Pant’s selection. One is physical fitness. Pant also needs to be fully fit to play the cricket ball in the nets. Two, being match-fit, which means playing and performing 100 overs without any discomfort. If all these criteria are fulfilled then Pant should play the World Cup.
However, the BCCI is quite happy with Pant’s speedy recovery as he did not require a second knee surgery. He has started walking without any help which means his body is recovering fast. But the race is still on for Pant to be at his best on the cricket pitch ahead of the World Cup.
