Swiss non-custodial bitcoin app Relay has announced the launch of zero-fee bitcoin purchases in a bid to attract more users.
This new offering allows users to make one bitcoin purchase fee-free per month up to 100 CHF/EUR. By offering zero fee purchase options to its user base of over 70,000 individuals, Relay hopes to encourage more individuals to explore the benefits of owning bitcoin and participating in the digital economy.
Relay’s CEO and co-founder, Julian Liniger, expressed his excitement about the new offering in a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine, saying, “We are thrilled to offer our users a zero fee purchase option. A testament to our commitment to investing in bitcoin and making it accessible to all.” He further stressed the importance of providing fair and secure access to bitcoin, calling it “the best savings technology ever.”
In addition to the zero-fee trading launch, Relai noted that it recently improved its user interface, making it even easier for users to onboard and access core functions such as buy and sell. These efforts have contributed to the company’s success, with March 2023 being the best month ever according to the company, the press release said. Relai reports 215% year-on-year revenue growth from March 2022, with a growth of 53% compared to February 2023.
Relai recently announced a $4.5 million investment led by Jeff Booth’s Ego Death Capital. The company reiterated its plans for the future, which include Lightning integration and launching white-label products.
