Renowned businesswoman and founder of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) and Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani recently launched a weekend long festival called ‘Parampara’ at NMACC. The grand event was organized to pay tribute to the eternal Guru Shishya tradition and to mark Guru Purnima. The event saw the presence of several eminent personalities who had gathered to honor the occasion.
In line with Nita Ambani’s vision of showcasing India’s cultural heritage to the world, the event aims to honor the rich legacy of classical maestros in Indian music. The carefully curated performances were aimed at fostering cultural exchange by bringing the best of Indian music to a global audience.
Titled ‘Parampara: Ek Guru Purnima Special’, the event saw enthralling performances by veteran artistes. Renowned sarod maestro Padma Vibhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan enthralled the audience with his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash. The maestro’s talented grandsons, Zohan and Abir Ali Bangash, showcased their amazing musical abilities to add to the attraction.

The audience also enjoyed soulful renditions by renowned flautist Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and his nephew Rakesh Chaurasia as well as sitar maestro Pandit Karthik Kumar and his son Niladri Kumar.
The two-day event took place at NMACC’s main performing arts venue, The Grand Theatre, which can seat an audience of 2,000. With ticket prices starting from Rs 750, the event aims to provide music lovers an accessible opportunity to witness these exceptional performances.
NMACC’s Grand Theater has a history of hosting landmark productions, including the internationally acclaimed Broadway musical ‘The Sound of Music’ and the captivating production ‘The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation’. Through such events, the Nita Ambani Cultural Center continues to nurture and promote the arts, enriching the cultural landscape of India.
