John Hoeksma, CEO Digital Health, said: “Many Congratulations To all those who were elected and to all those who participated in the election, in which a record number of network members voted.
“It is really encouraging to be selected from such a great mix of new and experienced network members, who bring fresh experience from across the region.
“On CCIO AP we have new members for Trusts from across England and for the first time ever a representative from Wales. Meanwhile, on the CIO side, we have representation from ambulance trusts for the first time and very strong representation, particularly from trusts in the north of England.
“Successful candidates at CNIO AP include a great mix of nurses, midwives and AHPs. The Digital Health team looks forward to working with the new advisory panel over the next two years.
Next week, the newly elected panels will have their first meeting to introduce themselves and elect a chair and vice chair. They will happen like this:
- Monday July 10 – 12:30-13:30 – CCIO Advisory Panel
- Tuesday July 11 – 12:30-13:30 – CIO Advisory Panel
- Thursday July 13 – 12:30-13:30 – CNIO Advisory Panel
The Digital Health Network is an independent professional community of over 7,000 NHS IT leaders, dedicated to collaborating and sharing best practices for the effective use of digital technologies and data in the NHS.
The newly elected advisory panel members will be officially introduced to fellow network members on 27-28 July at the University of Birmingham’s Digital Health Summer School, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. Registration, which is exclusively for network members, will close at the end of business on Friday.
The networks are committed to sharing best practices for the effective use of digital technologies and data in the NHS and supporting the development of emerging digital leaders through mentorship and bursary programs working with partners such as Fed-IP and Shuri Network .
Members of advisory panels perform a number of roles, but primarily provide a voice for elected representative peers, and work with national policy to influence the development of policies and programmes.
