Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for various infrastructure development projects worth Rs 6,100 crore in Telangana’s Warangal, setting off a strong poll campaign for the BJP in the state. Before laying the foundation stone for development projects, Prime Minister Modi on Saturday offered prayers at the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal district. Addressing a public meeting in the district, PM Modi lashed out at the BRS government for its involvement in corruption.
PM Modi said that the BRS government and the KCR family are adopting new tactics to hide their failures. He said that it is sad that those who fought for Telangana have to see the day of corruption and mismanagement. Modi claimed that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao betrayed the youth of the state and left them jobless. He said that the state government has spoiled the future of educated youth by ruining higher education in the state. He claimed that thousands of government posts are vacant in the state and the BRS government is using them to fill the coffers of its party leaders.

He said that today work is being done for all kinds of infrastructure at a faster pace than before. PM Modi said, “There is a developing network of highways, expressways, economic corridors and industrial corridors across the country…Telangana is connecting neighboring economic centers and becoming a hub of economic activity.” He also attacked the Congress and accused the grand old party of giving fake guarantees.

PM Modi also asked whether the KCR government is capable of fulfilling the promise of 2BHK flats for 7 lakh poor. He claimed that sarpanches across the state are upset with the state government. He said that BJP wants all-round development of Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao did not attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s event and did not even attend his arrival.

A PMO statement had earlier informed that from Warangal, PM Modi would travel to Rajasthan’s Bikaner to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 24,300 crore. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the wagon manufacturing unit. The budget has been allocated in the last budget itself. BJP said that more than 3,000 people will get jobs in this project.
