Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor recently opened up about the challenges he faced during the initial years of his career. Despite delivering a hit debut, Shahid revealed that he was rejected as a leading man due to the limited options of actors available opposite him. In an interview, she explained that her childish appearance made it difficult for producers to find suitable female actors who looked like her. However, Shahid admitted that the industry has evolved, and for him, Ishaan Khatter, it is easier now.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Shahid Kapoor revealed that despite making a successful debut with Ishq Vishk, the actor faced challenges when it came to finding suitable actresses opposite him. He added, “Many times, he said, ‘Teri picture toh chal gayi hai, par tujhe with which heroine to cast?’ And they will name three-four big stars, and say, ‘You will be a child in front of them, you have not had manhood in you, you want a hero like him.’
He further added, “I had to choose from whatever people were willing to offer me, even though I was a successful actor, because the material that was written at that time was made for older actors.”
Shahid also said, “Hrithik came two years before me, then Vivek came. So, I remember the year when I debuted, he told me, ‘tera to kuch nahi hota hai, kyunki industry 5 saal mein’. accepts only one hero. does, and now the industry has accepted two in 3 years, you don’t have a chance.”
