Major League Cricket is here. The franchise-based T20 tournament is the first of its kind in the United States of America (USA). Six teams are playing in the tournament. The tournament will start from July 14. The good news for India fans is that the league will be available to watch in India. In this tournament, 19 matches will be played for 18 days. Four of the six teams in this tournament are supported by IPL franchises. Mumbai Indians is owned by MI New York and will be led by Kieron Pollard. Chennai Super Kings is supported by Texas Super Kings while Kolkata Knight Riders is supported by LA Knight Riders. Seattle Orcas is owned by Delhi Capitals.

Texas Super Kings will be led by Faf du Plessis. LA Knight Riders by Sunil Narine. Aaron Finch will captain the Sam Francisco Unicorns while the Orcas will be led by Wayne Parnell. Moises Henriques has been named captain of the Washington Freedom.

Six teams are participating in the first edition of Major League Cricket (MLC): Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings and Washington Freedom.

Each of the six teams will play each other once before the knockout stage. The knockout stage before the final will consist of qualifiers, eliminators and challengers. The 3rd and 4th placed teams will play in the Eliminator and the top 2 teams in the Qualifier. The winner of the qualifier will qualify for the final. The losing team in the qualifiers will play the winner of the eliminator in a challenger match. The winner of the Challenger match will advance to the final and play the winner of the qualifiers.
