dear friends,
Over the past weeks Ties and I have tried to find a future for VanMoof. We are extremely sorry to inform that despite our best efforts, we were not successful and had to file for bankruptcy. The administrators, who are now trustees, will explain below what this means to you, but we want to take a very brief moment to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
We started VanMoof 14 years ago with a unique idea to change the world. The only reason we’ve been so successful is because of you: the hundreds of dedicated and loyal people who have helped us in our mission to change cities for the better. We are grateful to each and every one of you and we are sorry that we will not be able to complete this mission together.
We feel sad, but most of all we are proud of what we have accomplished together. It has been the honor of a lifetime for us and even though the current iteration of VanMoof ends today and we do not yet know what the future holds, I am confident that VanMoof alumni will continue to be a force for good.
With best wishes,
Taco and Ties Carlier
