Major reason behind Jaipur discom employee’s absenteeism goes viral: Check

Whenever employees need a day or a few days off from work, the process they need to follow is to get permission and approval from their boss. However, this was not the case with a Jaipur discom employee who gave an epic response to his boss when asked the reason for his absence during a surprise inspection at the office. The employee accused the chief engineer of the company and said that he also never comes on time. The answer will obviously surprise you, but it is actually true. Let’s break it down for you.

Jaipur Discom employee’s reaction on being absent from work

The incident pertains to Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited where a person working as a commercial assistant was asked to come late for work. He was served a notice, seeking an explanation as to why he was not present during the surprise inspection conducted by the Chief Engineer of the distribution company.

To this he replied to his boss, “You yourself never come on time, so I don’t either.”

This happened when GS Bairwa, Chief Engineer, Kota Zone, made a surprise visit to the Zone’s Accounts Office on July 14. During inspection he found that the signature of Commercial Assistant Ajit Singh was missing. Attendance register, and thus by sending notices to them seeking clarifications.

“Surprise inspection of your office was carried out on 14.07.2023 at 09:45 AM during which it was found that on the mentioned date and time, your signature on the attendance register of your office was missing indicating your absence. Please explain the reason,” read a part of the notice.

In response, Ajit Singh wrote in Hindi, “If you never come on time, then I also do not come on time.” The notice went viral on social media in no time, drawing many reactions from people.

Speaking to India Today, the Jaipur discom employee said that he received a “fair and reasonable response”, adding that several other employees also received similar notices on the same day.
