Among the top superhero movies ever made, Infinity War definitely remains No. 1. The film’s success at the box office was attributed to a number of factors, including thrilling action sequences, adorable team-ups and accompanying emotion. This makes it seem natural for Robert Downey Jr. and the other Avengers to remember the film.
Mark Ruffalo is the only member of the original Avengers without a tattoo, although the Iron Man star told Christopher Nolan during his AutoComplete interview that he couldn’t get the symbol despite Ruffalo’s repeated attempts to convince him.

Did Mark Ruffalo Offend Robert Downey Jr.?
The main Avengers decided they had to do something special to celebrate the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Actress Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow, had the idea of getting an Avengers tattoo similar to the other members of the core team. Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans both agreed to do so, however, Mark Ruffalo decided to decline the offer.
When asked how many tattoos he has, Robert Downey Jr. mentioned the incident during an interview with WIRED. Downey replied,
“I have six. This is the sixth one and that was the Avengers cast tattoo that happened on the evening of the Infinity War premiere. First Scarlett got it, then Chris Evans got it, then I got it, then Jeremy Renner got it, then Chris Hemsworth got it, even though he was a little unsure about it and seemed to overreact to pain. And then Mark Ruffalo said, ‘I’m not getting that tattoo. I don’t want to be part of your Hollywood inside game,’ to which I complimented him. Fuck you, Mark!”

The Sherlock Holmes actor ended his introduction by saying “****mark” to the camera.
Downey clearly hasn’t forgotten Ruffalo’s betrayal as the memory still seems fresh. Ruffalo, on the other hand, later admitted that he felt a little isolated.
Mark Ruffalo’s Reluctance to Get an “Avengers” Tattoo
The Hulk actor expressed his hesitation about getting a tattoo in 2018: “It’s not over yet.” He mentioned that he still had another movie on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and said he was scared of needles.
“I didn’t get the tattoo done. I opted out of tattoos. It’s not over yet. Still another movie! First of all, I am scared of needles. So, there it is. But, at the same time, I’ve got a punk rock soul in a way, too. And I was like, (her voice gets deeper), ‘Man, everybody has tattoos. I’m going to be punk rock and not get tattoos! It’s radical, isn’t it? It’s so rebellious!”

The actor further said that he is gathering the confidence to get the tattoo because he feels left out. However, the Dark Waters actor and Jimmy Fallon quickly realized that the actor didn’t need the tattoo to prove anything and would always be a member of the Avengers family.
