Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Deepak Chahar put in a stellar performance in Qualifier 1 vs Gujarat Titans (GT) and took 2/29 in 4 overs. His wickets included dangerous GT opener Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. This helped CSK set the pace in defending 173 runs in the all-important game. This show from Chahar will keep CSK in good stead ahead of the final. The CSK pacer was battling a hamstring injury midway through the season but he recovered in time to boost his chances in the competition.

Chahar on CSK’s bowling plan vs GT
Talking about CSK’s bowling plans for the Titans, Chahar said that the bowlers will aim to stay calm and bowl in the right areas. “I think the length, we saw them bowl it, it was consistent and we decided to bowl full length, not experiment too much, let them (the batsmen) take risks. 170 in the semi-final with the crowd Chasing runs is difficult against you.
