Scottie Pippen lashes out at Michael Jordan
During his guest appearance on the ‘Gimme the Hit Sauce’ podcast, Scottie Pippen refused to say anything and made his displeasure at Michael Jordan very clear. “I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before he came to the Bulls … he was a terrible player,” said the senior basketball player, which made the feud between them so obvious. “He was terrible to play. Michael Jordan was all 1-on-1, he was hitting bad shots. And all of a sudden, we became a team and we started winning, everyone forgot who he was,” said Scottie, who joined the Bulls in 1987, three years after Michael joined the team.
Pippen is all praise for LeBron James
However, the American basketball star praised another fellow player, LeBron James. “LeBron James is the greatest winner ever. He’s too big now and gets criticized a lot. He’s never been a shot maker. He’s never been the last shot guy,” Scottie Pippen said on the podcast. He said, “He has never been great. I said this many years ago and I was criticized for it. When LeBron James leaves the game, he will be the greatest statistical player to ever play the game.”
Netizens think Pippen and Jordan’s feud is ‘personal’
Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen is reportedly in a relationship with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus. A group of netizens think that this is the real reason behind Scottie Pippen’s bitterness towards Jordan. Twitterati are also pointing out that this has been further fueled by Pippen’s unflattering portrayal in Michael Jordan’s recent documentary ‘The Last Dance’.
