With the growth of OTT and digital platforms, the appeal of traditional TV has declined. However, the introduction of projectors has excited the audience. In particular, the ultra-short throw projector’s ability to produce stunning images at close range, essentially turning walls or screens into a 100-inch TV experience, has generated interest.
The ViewSonic X1000-4K, an ultra-short throw 4K HDR Smart LED Soundbar Projector, is one such notable model. Today we’ll take a look at its features and capabilities, starting with how easy it is to set up and how great the picture quality is, especially for gamers. Result? A TV experience like no other, right in your living room. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
Placement and Design:
This projector is designed to sit on a table, making it more practical for users than traditional projectors, which are usually suspended from the ceiling. Short-throw projectors can be placed in the center, but ultra-short throw projectors are almost always placed in front of the screen. We were well aware of the importance of proper positioning of the projector during our installation process. Fortunately, ViewSonic provides helpful guides for making sure the projector is positioned correctly in relation to the wall or screen. For example, if you are projecting a 100-inch image, the projector should be placed about 38 cm from the wall or screen, or below the height of the bottom of the screen.
Design Upgrade:
ViewSonic has made tremendous strides in improving the X1000-4K+’s build quality and design. The projector is made of superior plastic and features an ultra-short throw Smart LED Soundbar design that ensures the best viewing angles from any angle.
The X1000-4K+ has a wide range of connectivity options including USB 3.0, USB 2.0, USB-C, HDMI port, audio in/out, rear subwoofer out, additional HDMI port, LAN and optical audio port. It also has remote control functionality. There are dials for height adjustment on either side of the unit. The projector’s light source is an LED with a remarkable lifespan of up to 30,000 hours. This means you can use it for eight hours a day for ten years. Like other projectors, it takes about 20 seconds for the projector to start up. It is important to note that darker rooms produce the best images. The remote control has some useful features, including a built-in G-sensor (gyroscope) and backlight.
