WTC Finals- IND Vs AUS: Aussies beat Rohit Sharma-led team by 209 runs and fans go berserk

In a disappointing turn of events, Team India suffered yet another defeat in the final of the World Test Championship, suffering a resounding 209-run defeat against a formidable Australian side at The Oval. The defeat marked India’s second consecutive final defeat in the prestigious tournament, prolonging their wait for an ICC title.

From that point on, it was a straight march for the Australian fast bowlers. The remaining four Indian wickets fell in quick succession, with Nathan Lyon claiming the final scalp of Mohammed Siraj. The Indian batting lineup collapsed, adding only 22 runs before their eventual demise.

Australia’s victory in the World Test Championship final not only secured their maiden WTC title but also etched their name in cricket history. The win made Australia the first team to win all ICC titles, including the ODI and T20 World Cups as well as the Champions Trophy.
