Mumbai: The advance bookings for the Hindi version of ‘Adipurush’ began on Saturday and as per reports, around 10,000 hall tickets have been sold out of which 60 per cent bookings are for the first day. A report in TOI mentions that the bookings are from two of the biggest national cinema chains.
Directed by Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh, ‘Adipurush’ is the big-budget feature adaptation of ‘Ramayan’. The multilingual period saga will hit 3D screens worldwide on June 16, 2023.
T-Series, the banner of the upcoming film, shared the advance booking details on its official Twitter page. The production house said in a tweet, “The wait is finally over. Get ready to experience a cinematic thrill. Advance booking has just begun. Book your tickets for #Adipurush in cinemas worldwide on 16th June.”
The makers recently unveiled the trailer of the upcoming film at the famous Tirupati temple. The 2.24 minute long trailer received an overwhelming response from the audience as it crossed thousands of views within minutes of being shared online. The trailer sets up the story of ‘Ramayan’, which begins with Sita being kidnapped, featuring Kriti as Janaki and Saif as Lankesh. Prabhas shines as Raghav on the battlefield.
‘Adipurush’ will release in India in 5 different languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film will also premiere at the 2023 edition of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 13. The budget for the pan-India release is INR 500 crores, making it one of the costliest Indian films ever made.
