Former captain of the Indian cricket team and current leader of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) MS Dhoni was recently photographed in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The pictures show the iconic cricketer sporting a distinctive white beard and a stylish outfit.
Dhoni’s excellent leadership skills were evident in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where he led CSK to a remarkable victory. In a thrilling final against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Chennai won by five wickets via the DLS method. With this win, they joined Mumbai Indians (MI) as the only franchises to lift the IPL trophy five times.
On June 16, CSK Fans Official, a dedicated fan page of Dhoni, shared a post which shows the legendary cricketer posing for pictures in Ranchi. The pictures were uploaded to his Instagram account, highlighting Dhoni’s distinctive white beard and colorful outfit.
This is not the first time that Dhoni’s beard has attracted public attention. Ahead of IPL 2023, the bearded look of the CSK captain went viral. However, he later removed it during the tournament and appeared much younger.

Recently, Chennai Super Kings posted an emotional video on their official social media handles titled “Oh Captain, My Captain!” The clip honored the legendary MSD, fueling speculations about his retirement from IPL.
Though Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020, he continued to lead CSK in the IPL, guiding them to victory in the 2021 and 2023 editions.
Since the lead-up to this season’s IPL, speculation has been rife about Dhoni’s future in the IPL. After his success in leading CSK to victory in IPL 2023, the former Indian captain opened up about his retirement plans.
“Situationally if you see, this is the best time to announce my retirement. But with all the love and affection I have received wherever I have been this year, it would be easy for me to say “Thank you very much”. But my The difficult thing for me is to work hard for another 9 months and come back and play at least 1 more season of IPL,” he said after the IPL final.
