The cryptocurrency market has managed to maintain a positive momentum over the weekend, with most coins retaining their gains through low volatility and trading volumes.
Bitcoin Price Fighting For $31K
Bitcoin price climbed above $31,000 on Friday, but was unable to sustain above that level. It later retraced, but it appears the bulls are now preparing for another attempt.
The price has gained a bit in the last 24 hours and is trading slightly below $31K as seen in the chart below.
It is also clear that bitcoin is consolidating over the past few days with major moves towards $30K and $31K respectively. This suggests that another period of volatility is on the way.
AAVE explodes 25% daily
The majority of the altcoin market has been relatively flat throughout the day, showing either minor gains or minor declines, but nothing too severe, as seen in the heatmap below.
Of course, there are some exceptions. Most notable is AAVE, with more than 25% of the eruptions occurring during the past 24 hours. The move brings the cryptocurrency’s total weekly gains above 40%, making it one of the best performers overall.
Synthetix Network (SNX) is also doing great. It increases by about 20% during the day and 25% during the week.
At the other end of the spectrum, CASPA (KAS) is trading at a 5% loss, followed by RENDER (RNDR), which is down 4% for the day.
It is also noteworthy that Ethereum is rising above $1.9K and appears to be facing an important technical and psychological level of $2K.
