Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy was selected for the midnight screening section of the festival. In April, the official account of the Cannes Film Festival announced Kennedy’s selection on Twitter. He wrote, “Kennedy #SeanceDeMinuit / #MidnightScreenings #Cannes2023 by Anurag Kashyap.” The film stars Sunny Leone, Rahul Bhatt and Abhilash Thapliyal. The plot of the film revolves around an insomniac ex-police officer who is believed to be dead long back but is still working for the corrupt system and is in search of salvation.
Agra

It will have its world premiere in the Directors’ Fortnight section of the film festival in Agra. The film is written and directed by Kanu Behl and stars Rahul Roy, Priyanka Bose, Mohit Agarwal, Ruhani Sharma, Vibha Chibber, Sonal Jha and Aanchal Goswami. The film explores sexual relations within a family as well as the deep dystopian rifts generated in contemporary India that are quickly condensing into predetermined territories.
Ishanau

Manipuri filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma’s award-winning film Ishanau will be screened at Cannes this year. It will have its red-carpet world premiere at the prestigious Cannes Classics section of the Cannes Film Festival 2023 on May 19, 2023. Classics.
