Shiberium may go live in August – developer

In the blog of July 6 PostShiba Inu lead developer Shitoshi Kusama said the team will discuss and possibly release the much-anticipated Layer 2, Shiberium, during the Blockchain Futurists Conference, ETHToronto and ETHWomen Hackathon, to be held in Canada during August 2023.

The developer highlighted that the event is significant as it aligns with the 3rd anniversary of the Shiba Inu and takes place in the birthplace of Ethereum.

In the announcement, Kusama said that the Shiba Inu ecosystem will serve as the title sponsor for the upcoming Blockchain Futurists conference as well as the official hackathons, ETHToronto and ETHWomen. Additionally, Kusama will appear via artificial intelligence technology and give a speech during a convention held on the day of Shiberium’s release.

The conference will showcase the “World Paper” of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, announce new projects, and provide detailed information on the Treat token for the first time.

The blog post states that during the Blockchain Futurists Conference, Shiberium will host a hackathon that will run for several months. There will be two booths dedicated to showcasing the Shibarium and various Shiba Inu-themed products, platforms and services such as Shib the Metaverse, Shibacles, Shiba Eternity, Shiboshis and more.

Additionally, attendees can expect to see demonstrations from partners like Unification and BadIdea.Ai, as well as new projects using Shiberium tech.

In the Shiba Inu community, different tokens have specific roles. Shiba Inu (SHIB) controls the overall community, and the BONE Shibaswap (BONE) token supports and manages the technology aspect of Shibarium. The Doge Killer (Leash) token is responsible for community security and provides exclusivity, while the Treat token will control community projects.

According to Kusama, the Shiba Inu ecosystem will consist of the Doggy DAO, which will control the entire ecosystem, and the Shiba Doggy DAO Foundation, which will carry out the decisions of the decentralized autonomous organization and hold the assets of the DAO. To ensure that Shiba Inu community members have an equal voice, governance will be divided into four parts, one for each of the main tokens in the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

The Shiba Inu community responded enthusiastically to the announcement. A user who identified as Shibabazaar said that they had been waiting for this development for years and till date they have solved every puzzle.
