Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer continues its winning run at the Indian box office, enthralling the audience with its compelling story and stellar performances. The film, which released in theaters on Friday, has already earned a whopping Rs 17 crore on its second day of release.
In “Oppenheimer,” the brilliant Cillian Murphy plays the lead role, the mysterious physicist J.J. Robert Oppenheimer, while Emily Blunt expertly brings his wife, Catherine Oppenheimer, to life on screen. The star-studded cast also includes Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves, head of the Manhattan Project, and Robert Downey Jr. in a memorable performance as Lewis Strauss, a senior member of the United States Atomic Energy Commission. As per a Sacnilk.com report, Oppenheimer collected ₹17 crore on its second day for all languages in India, building on its first day’s collection of ₹14.50 crore. The English version contributed ₹12.75 crore to the film’s total box office collection, while the Hindi version added ₹1.75 crore. Till date, Oppenheimer has an impressive gross of ₹31.50 Cr, cementing its status as a blockbuster.

In a notable box office clash, Oppenheimer was released on the same day as “Barbie”, directed by Greta Gerwig. While Barbie earned a respectable ₹5 crore on its opening day, it faced stiff competition from Christopher Nolan-directed Masterpiece, which earned ₹13.50 crore on the same day.
