About three weeks after the film’s release, Manoj Muntashir shared an apology in Hindi and English on his Twitter account. He wrote, “I accept that people’s sentiments have been hurt by Adipurush. I tender an unconditional apology with folded hands. May Lord Bajrang Bali keep us united and give us the strength to serve our holy Sanatan and our great nation.”
Starring Prabhas as Raghav aka Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Janaki aka Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh aka Ravana, the film was panned for poor visual effects, poor characterization as well as use by the characters.
