However, this year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has made quite a bold choice by making her first red carpet appearance for the year in a huge silver hood.

The Ponniyin Selvan actress is now setting the internet on fire with her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ditched the classic gowns and sarees and made a dramatic appearance in a black and silver gown with a huge silver hood, leaving her fans and the fashion police completely stunned. The outfit, created by Couture, is made from aluminum palette sophiettes and crystals and features a voluminous hood and a long train to cover her head. The gown is completed with a large black bow, which is cinched at its cinched waist.
However, when it comes to her hairstyle and makeup, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan chose not to experiment much. The Bollywood diva opted for her signature middle-parted free hairdo and bold red lip, which she paired with black eyeliner with a touch of silver sparkle. She completed her look with a statement ensemble ring.

This year too the mother-daughter duo got a warm welcome at the festival and pictures and videos of the same are now going viral.
