Alia Bhatt re-evaluates priorities after a decade in film industry; Says ‘I have a family now’

In an interview with Femina, Alia Bhatt opened up about the learnings she has learned from her career and how her priorities have changed after spending a decade in the industry. The Brahmastra actress shared that it is not just that her career has taken off, but her life has also changed. Talking about the change in priorities, Alia said, “As I have crossed a decade in cinema, my life has also changed a lot in this decade. I was willing to sacrifice – sleep and time. My family – and just constant work and shooting. Now I have a family. I have a daughter. I have a husband.”

Alia Bhatt also told that in the last 10 years, her attention was very much focused on her career. As a result, she didn’t get a chance to spend enough time with her family and friends and now, she wants to do the same. However, she will never give up acting. “I also feel like all these 10 years I haven’t spent with my parents, with my sister, with my friends — I want to be able to do that. And yes, never stop working, but Try and bring some balance. So yeah, it’s a decision I’ve made consciously and that includes being present,” the actress said.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Alia Bhatt is all set for the release of the romantic comedy film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film marks the return of Karan Johar to the director’s chair and boasts of a stellar cast. While Ranveer Singh will be seen in the character of Rocky, the film will also feature Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and other prominent faces. Ranveer and Alia’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will hit the theaters on July 28.
