In a recent interview during a film festival in Italy, Amber Heard expressed her excitement as she is all set to return as Mira in the upcoming Aquaman 2.
Amber Heard set to play Mera in Aquaman 2
The 37-year-old actress recently attended the Taormina Film Festival in Italy for the premiere of her latest thriller, Into the Fire. During that celebration, Amber Heard gave an interview to Deadline. He talked about his latest Into the Fire and also about his next, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.
The actress is all set to star in the sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom alongside Jason Momoa. Amber, who played the role of Mira in the 2018 film Aquaman, is excited to reprise her character in the upcoming sequel.
When asked if she is excited about Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, a delighted Amber said, “Oh, absolutely.” Talking about the intensity of both films, Heard said, “Your best luck as an actor is to be able to balance the two. Aquaman, that franchise and the machinery behind it, I’m so honored to be a part of it.”
He added, “And then there are also the smaller passion projects like Into the Fire, where I’m proud to know the filmmaker and cast, and we got down dirty together to bring this story to life.” Emphasizing on the importance of versatility, the actress said she is balancing both types of projects and is grateful to manage the unique challenges each project brings.
Amber revealed that she faced roadblocks following her legal battle with Johnny Depp, due to a legal battle with her ex-husband, but managed to secure her spot as Mira in the Aquaman sequel.
Meanwhile, Amber Heard and Jason Momoa starrer Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is all set to release on December 20. The film’s cast also includes Ben Affleck, Emilia Clarke, Nicole Kidman and others in prominent roles.
