Margot Robbie’s latest film Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, hit theaters last Friday and brings together a star cast including Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, and Kate McKinnon. However, one thing that raised eyebrows among Robbie’s girlfriends was the lack of a kissing scene between her character, Barbie, and Gosling’s Ken. In a recent interview, Margot Robbie told how her friends teased her about not doing the kissing scene with Ryan Gosling in Barbie.

Speaking with People, when Margot was asked about her feelings about Ryan Gosling’s lack of kissing with Kane in the film, she candidly replied, “Uh no! It didn’t really feel like a win to me.”
Robbie shared about her friends’ playful reactions, saying, “All my girlfriends couldn’t help but tease and say, ‘Come on, you did an entire movie with her, and didn’t kiss one? What’s wrong with you? I thought you were judging this!'”

Interestingly, when Margot talked about discussing the kissing scene with her friends, Ryan Gosling shared his amusement over the situation. The actor considered the challenge amusing, saying, “It was weird trying to figure out what their version of the kiss would look like. I have to admit, I’m quite glad all those scenes were deleted.”
Meanwhile, the Greta Gerwig directorial focused on the adventures of Barbie and Ken as they explore the real world after being expelled from Barbie Land. The film received favorable reviews from both critics and audiences alike. The creative story, along with a great pop soundtrack featuring artists such as Lizzo and Billie Eilish, contributed to the film’s success. However, the absence of a romantic on-screen moment between Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling became the subject of playful derision among Margot’s friends.
So far, Barbie has proved to be a box office success and has collected impressive numbers in its opening weekend. The film’s gripping mix of humor and adventure has enthralled audiences worldwide, generating strong ticket sales and positive buzz.
