New Delhi: The results of the municipal elections held in 31 districts and 54 cities of Bihar were declared on June 11. Voting for civic body elections was held on June 9. The counting of votes took place at 58 centers from 8 am on June 11. There were 4,431 candidates in the fray for Ward Councillor, Deputy Chief Councilor and Chief Councillor. Voting was held at a total of 1677 polling stations.
According to reports, elections were to be held on 816 posts, but out of these 9 posts were elected unopposed. At the same time, after the death of the ward councilor candidate of Nagar Panchayat Ghanshyampur ward number-8, one post was postponed. Voting was held for a total of 806 posts.
