Major cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has just launched its first metaverse reality show dubbed “Build the Block”. The show ends with blockchain project zkPass emerging as the winner, opening the way for multiple rewards from the exchange.
zkpass is a decentralized privacy-preserving identity protocol that uses multi-party computation (MPC) and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) techniques to enable users to prove their verifiable data in Web2 and Web3 networks.
zkPass will receive funding from Binance Labs
According to a press release shared with crypto potatoBinance honored zkPass as the winner of its show after the protocol’s founding members received the most votes in a seven-episode competition featuring 12 finalists. The Metaverse-hosted show aims to discover the next big Web3 business tycoon.
Commenting on the investment from Binance Labs, zkPass co-founder Joshua Peng said:
“We are not only thrilled to be part of the first pitch made in the real-time Metaverse series, but especially honored to win Build the Block and have the opportunity to work closely with Binance Labs. Helps a lot in our journey to become the world’s infrastructure.
Other projects are rewarded
In addition to ZkPass, four other projects that participated in the “Build the Block” competition were rewarded with investment from Binance Labs.
Finalist blockchain projects were Mind Network, CryptoSocket, Bracket Labs, and Dapps. He emerged as the runner-up from a list of over 900 applications received by the show moderators.
Binance’s commitment to fostering the growth of emerging blockchain startups is evident in its recent initiative, which builds on its previous launch of a $500 million fund dedicated to nurturing Web3 companies.
