Blind: Sonam Kapoor dons visually impaired action-avatar for her OTT debut

Mumbai: Actress Sonam Kapoor is back in ‘Blind’ where she will be seen in a different role. On Thursday, the makers released the trailer of the film. Directed by Shome Makhija, ‘Blind’ promises a perfect combination of mystery and drama with an engrossing and nuanced storyline. The trailer has equal amounts of thrill and action.

‘Blind’ is the story of a visually challenged flexible woman (played by Sonam) who becomes the prime witness of a crime. In her efforts to investigate the unusual turn of events and testify about the incident, she is forced to face the killer alone. Purab Kohli as the menacing antagonist delivers a powerful performance in this riveting tale of mystery and suspense along with an interesting cast that adds thrilling layers to the tale.

The film is presented by Geo Studios in association with RV Motion Pictures and Lead Films, Kanai, Avama and Cross Pictures Production. ‘Blind’ will release on July 7 on Jio Cinema. Sonam was last seen in the film ‘The Zoya Factor’ opposite Dulquer Salmaan. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film failed to impress the audience at the box office.

She has been a part of many big films like ‘Raanjhanaa’, ‘Neerja’, ‘Players’, ‘Delhi-6’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Sanju’ and ‘Padman’. Meanwhile, Sonam is currently enjoying summer in London with husband Anand Ahuja and son Vayu. Sonam and Anand tied the knot on 8 May 2018 in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. In March 2022, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. And on 20 August a son was born to them.

“On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with heads bowed and hearts open. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us in this journey. It’s only the beginning, but we know our lives forever changed,” the couple posted.
