Srinagar: For the first time, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has set up a digital hi-tech command control center for real-time monitoring of the Amarnath Yatra routes. The move will help the government to regulate the Amarnath Yatra in a smooth manner.
Amarnath Yatra is one of the most difficult journeys for Hindus and the Jammu and Kashmir administration is working round the clock to ease every minor aspect related to the yatra for the pilgrims. The Jammu and Kashmir LG had ordered the setting up of a hi-tech command control center to provide maximum assistance to the pilgrims coming for the pilgrimage.
About 60 people from about 20 government departments work day and night in the Hi-Tech Command Control Center. The departments working in the Hi-Tech Command Control Center include J&K Police, CRPF, NDRF, SDRF, Health, PHE, PDD, Telecom and many more.

Around 17 PTZ high definition 360-degree view cameras have been installed along the entire route from the base camp to the cave. Dozens of static cameras have also been installed at strategically important locations from both the Baltal and Chandanwari base camps.
“We are getting a live feed which we constantly monitor, if there is any problem on both the routes, if anyone has any health problem or medical emergency, we try to find a solution as soon as possible. People are present there and if we get to know about any medical emergency, it is very well coordinated,” said VK Bidhuri Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
He added, “The response time is also very good. This facility will also be helpful in case of a natural disaster. We have a central point from where we can coordinate everything. The command control center is the nerve center where all the monitoring is done.” This includes the safety of the pilgrims.
Apart from this, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Number) has been provided to all the pilgrims coming for Amarnath Yatra. This helps the authorities to monitor the location of the pilgrims while undertaking the pilgrimage from their base camps.
The digital hi-tech command control center will play a very important role in identifying medical emergencies, potential disaster situations, locating missing persons and facilitating their recovery.
According to government estimates, around 80,000 pilgrims have completed the Amarnath Yatra in the first 6 days of the yatra and it is expected that the number of pilgrims visiting the holy cave this year will cross five lakh, the biggest ever. the number is. The holy journey had begun.
