Congressman Torres demands an SEC investigation into his approach to crypto

Representative Torres (D.N.Y.) requested an investigation into the SEC’s granting of a special purpose broker-dealer (SPBD) license to Promethium, “a trading digital asset platform that does not trade digital assets,” under unusual circumstances, and for its failure to create a rigorous but workable process for registering real-world digital asset platforms.
