Delhi Weather Update: IMD predicts rain with dust storm in NCR today

For the last few days, the minimum average temperature of this season is being observed in Delhi. However, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain is expected to bring down the temperature during the day. Adding to the predictions, the IMD also said that there would be generally cloudy sky or thunderstorms during the day. According to IMD, “Dusty storm and gusty wind with a speed of 40-60 kmph will occur at many places over Delhi & NCR and adjoining areas. Light to moderate intensity rain with thunderstorms and gusting to 40-60 kmph will occur. Strong winds will blow at the speed of. It will rain in the surrounding areas during the next 2 hours.

The “adjacent areas” mentioned by the IMD include Hastinapur, Chandpur, Meerut, Kithore, Amroha, Moradabad, Garhmukteshwar, Rampur, Pilkhua, Hapur, Gulouti, Sambhal, Bilari, Milak, Chandausi, Jahangirabad, Anupshahr, Bahjoi, Shikarpur, Debai, Narora Are. , Sahaswan, Kasganj (U.P.).

Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) at 12.30 pm was 132, which falls in the “moderate” category, according to SAFAR. An AQI from 0 to 50 is considered “good”, 51 to 100 “satisfactory”, 101 to 200 “moderate”, 201 to 300 “poor”, 301 to 400 “very poor”, and 401 to 500 “very poor”. . as in “serious”

Earlier, the Regional Weather Forecasting Center (RWFC) in New Delhi also predicted a storm with moderate intensity rains in parts of Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has also issued a yellow advisory for Mumbai, indicating that there will be widespread rain in many areas of Maharashtra during the next 4-5 days.

“The intensity of rain will gradually increase over some parts of Maharashtra during next 4-5 days. The weather is likely to turn worse over the next 5 days,” he said in a statement.
