Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Heinrich Klaasen was at his classy best in the Indian Premier League 2023 game vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as he smashed a flamboyant IPL century. Coming in to bat at No.4 with the fall of two wickets for just 28 runs inside SRH’s powerplay, Klaasen wasted no time and started attacking the ball. Klaasen was particularly exceptional against spinners, using his feet well to keep up with his power-hitting. He didn’t play any fancy shots, and stuck to proper cricketing strokes on his way to a hundred.

Klaasen celebrated the ton in an animated manner with Harry Brook at the other end. The entire SRH franchise was on its feet after Klaasen hit a six straight down the ground. Harshal Patel took revenge for the six by clean bowling him later in the over. Klaasen impressed everyone by scoring 104 off 51 balls. This innings includes 8 fours and 6 sixes respectively.

Tendulkar impressed by Klaasen

Thanks to Klaasen’s knock, SRH scored 186 for 5 in 20 overs. Apart from Klaasen, Harry Brook was another standout performer, scoring 27 off 19 balls, hitting 2 fours and 1 six respectively. Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was also very impressed with Klaasen’s innings, describing it as ‘class-ic’. “IPL is a mix of creative and conventional batting.
