Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals in the match played on Sunday. It was one of his finest performances in IPL history as he bowled out the Sanju Samson-led side for 59 after being set a target of 172 to chase down in 20 overs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Needing to win by a big margin, the Faf Duplessis-led side made sure they grabbed the two points and also raised their net run-rate.
The win drew praise from fans and cricket experts including Lucknow Supergiants, who took to Twitter to laud RCB’s top-class performance. At one point of time, RR were in the top four but it took them just 3-4 matches to slip down the table and are now sitting at the sixth spot with the Faf du Plessis-led side; Just one step ahead of them.

RCB won the toss and decided to bat first on a sluggish pitch which was not very good for the batsmen; However, they managed to post a total of 171 runs on the board. In reply, Rajasthan Royals struggled and kept losing wickets from the start of their run chase. Wayne Parnell was at the top of his game as he dismissed three batsmen in three overs and conceded just 10 runs. On the other hand, Michael Bracewell and Karn Sharma sent two batsmen to the pavilion while Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Siraj took one wicket each.
