Mark Lukowski, the former head of operating systems on Google’s augmented reality team, has left the company. in a tweet on MondayLukowski says that “a change in AR leadership and Google’s unsteady commitment and vision” contributed to his decision.
Lukowski worked at Facebook for four years, where he served as general manager of Oculus VR. He joined Google in 2021 to lead the OS team for AR at Google.
Lukowski writes, “Going forward, I look forward to exploring opportunities that allow me to advance augmented reality technology and its interconnection with generative AI.” “I look forward to the next chapter with excitement and anticipation for the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.”
