Is Shahrukh Khan doing a cameo in Karan Johar’s Rocky and Rani’s love story?

The love story of Rocky and Rani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, marks the much-awaited directorial return of Karan Johar. After the release of the film’s trailer, Karan went live on Instagram to answer a few questions from fans.

When Karan was asked if Shah Rukh Khan would make a sudden appearance in this film like his previous film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, he thought for a while before answering that Shah Rukh is not in the film.

He said, “No, he is not there (in the film), but his love and blessings are always with me. He is family to me and he was the first person to form the first unit of Rocky and Rani’s love story.”

Nevertheless, according to Karan, there are three unexpected cameos in the film. Fans have already recognized Ananya Panday in the clip. When asked if Karan would appear in the film, the director replied with a laugh, “Fortunately for all of you, I am not in the film. My success as an actor has been almost nil.”

According to Karan, the inspiration for Rocky and Rani’s personalities came from real life people. “Rocky is definitely inspired by someone I can’t reveal right now. Rani is among the many people I’ve met. In fact, a member of the media I knew very well and Rani’s Used to wear the same clothes,” he said.

The trailer gave us a glimpse into the contrasting lifestyles of Rocky Randhawa and Rani Chatterjee. While Rani hails from a Bengali family where knowledge and intellect are highly respected, Rocky is a Punjabi boy from an affluent Punjabi family. and they begin dating, but they soon discover that their families don’t get along. Later, in an attempt to impress him, Rocky and Rani choose to “change” and live with different families.

Apart from Ranveer and Alia, the film also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra in pivotal roles.
