Due to a muscle strain during his training, Neeraj was forced to withdraw from three events in June, including the FBK Games in the Netherlands, the Ostrava Golden Spike in the Czech Republic and the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland. The 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medalist commented that he was a bit nervous after coming back from injury. Despite the thumping victory, Neeraj does not consider it his best performance. However, he feels that his form is slowly coming back.

As soon as Neeraj Chopra won the Diamond League title, the reactions started pouring in. One user commented – This guy is not going to stop. Some netizens suggested an improvement in form as it was not his best, and the Olympics would demand better than his previous best. A user advised Neeraj to quit the game and do something else as the gentleman is tired of seeing him dominate every now and then. Another suggested he take over India’s lunar probe Chandrayaan, as his launch would save fuel charges. Another user suggested making Neeraj the youth affairs and sports minister.
Congratulations Neeraj
Abb bored of seeing the same man and sports do something new
