A remarkable miracle! The story we are about to share with you is not taken from any movie or script; Rather, it is the true story of four courageous children who amazed and impressed people around the world.
Four children have been found alive, after surviving a plane crash in Colombia’s Amazon jungle and living for weeks.
Hueto indigenous children aged 13, 9, 4 and 1 were pulled out of the Amazon on Friday after being lost for more than a month. Two days later, he was undergoing treatment at a military hospital in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia.
The unfortunate news is that on May 1, two pilots and the mother of the children were killed when their plane crashed in a dense forest. A massive rescue effort involving hundreds of soldiers and local people focused on the missing children.
The group was discovered on a “Magic Day” according to President Gustavo Petro, who also said that the survivors “were alone, and they alone achieved an example of perfect survival that will go down in history.”
Members of the first group to locate the children, who are also indigenous people, were interviewed on public television station RTVC on Sunday. He recalled his initial reactions upon seeing the children.
Nicolás Ordóñez Gomes, a member of the search and rescue team, remembered Leslie, the eldest daughter, running towards him with the younger one in her arms. He overhears Leslie saying, “I’m hungry.”
“One of the youths was on the ground. My mother is dead,” he muttered when he stood up. The rescue team member, however, insisted, “We are all family.”
In fact, her mother had been breathing for four days, which (13-year-old Leslie) explained to me, Manuel Miller Roanoke told the press.
“His mother reportedly told him to leave before she died”
