Once again, humanity is preparing for the launch of a starship, but not soon.
At the Starbase facility in South Texas early Thursday morning (May 18), SpaceX wheeled ‘Ship 25’, the most recent upper-stage Starship prototype, out to a suborbital pad.
Six Raptor engines on Ship 25 will pass through one “Static Fire” The test on the launch pad, according to a tweet from SpaceX on Thursday. The test involves illuminating the vehicle’s engine for a short period of time while it is still connected to the ground.

SpaceX envisions a spacecraft carrying passengers and cargo to Mars and the Moon, while eventually handling most of the organization’s other spaceflight operations.
