New Delhi: Social media influencer-turned-actress Kusha Kapila announced her separation from husband Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia and her fans are in disbelief. The couple announced their separation on Instagram around the same time. Now, 24 hours after the announcement, Zoravar has broken his silence on the matter after Kusha Kapila was subjected to heavy trolling online.
Zorawar wrote on his Instagram story, “We realize we live public lives, but we still hold some things sacred. Our marriage and respect for each other is one of them. Like our marriage, divorce was also a decision that both of us took together after a lot of thought. It was a difficult and painful decision but we made it collectively for the good of both of us. What has happened in the last 24 hours, the vile attacks on Kusha online, makes me sad and disappointed. It is shameful to attack the character of Kusha and portray her as a villain. Let’s all do better please.”
Let me tell you, amidst the divorce of the actress, an old video of Kusha and Karan Johar is going viral. In the old video titled Karan Johar’s Relationship Mantra, the filmmaker tells Kusha, ‘And remember sexual infidelity is not infidelity.’ Kusha agreed with his statement and said, ‘I believe in it’ and now his comment has landed in trouble as netizens are criticizing him for allegedly supporting ‘infidelity’.
Kusha shared an emotional post which read, “Zoravar and I have mutually decided to separate. This has not been an easy decision by any means, but we know it is the right decision at this point in our lives.” The love and life we have.” Sharing together is what created all of us, but sadly doesn’t align with what we want for ourselves in the present. We gave it our all, until we couldn’t do any more.”
He further wrote, “The end of a relationship is heartbreaking and it has been a difficult test for us and our families. Thankfully, we’ve had some time to process it, but what we shared and lived together Made that stuck for over a decade. We still need one.” So much time and healing to move on to the next phase of our lives. Our current focus is on getting through this period with love, respect and support for each other. We continue to co-parent Maya, the love of our lives. And be each other’s cheerleaders and pillars of support.”
Kusha Kapila, best known for her role in Masaba Masaba, married Zorawar in 2017.
