Leveraged bullish longs are being phased out as bitcoin market softens

Futures trading involves the use of leverage, which means that traders can take large long/short positions by depositing a relatively small amount of money, called margin, while the exchange provides the rest of the value. This exposes futures traders to liquidation – often forced to close long/short positions due to margin constraints as the market moves opposite to the direction of the leveraged bet.
