Commenting on the launch of the TVC, Rajeev Ranjan, Managing Director, McDonald’s India-North & East said, “Our customers have fond memories associated with our brand. The TVC takes the viewers down memory lane and helps them relive the happy and joyous moments spent with their loved ones at McDonald’s. Through a thoughtful gesture of care, love and reciprocity, the TVC gently touches the heart and assures that it doesn’t take much to create and enjoy good tasty memorable moments at McDonald’s – ‘To make someone’s day, Bas Dil Bada Hona Hoga’, we hope it resonates well with our customers.
Conceived by DDB Mudra, the TVC showcases a fun and cute banter between a grandfather and granddaughter. The TVC begins with Grandfather holding cotton in his hand while traveling in an autorickshaw with his granddaughter. Dada is irritable because he has just had an injection. The little girl tries to blow air at the injection site which surprises him, and he questions her gesture. The girl smiles and calmly reminds him of the same gesture he used to make in childhood. Soon after, she asks the autorickshaw driver to stop which further confuses him. He questions his granddaughter while exiting an auto rickshaw, only to feel embarrassed when the granddaughter reminds him of her happy place after doctor’s appointments. They exit the auto and enter a McDonald’s where they are seen reminiscing the girl’s childhood and enjoying a meal of McAloo Tikki. The pranks and McDonald’s role in creating memories are set to be a relatable example for the viewers.
The McAloo Tikki Value Meal includes McAloo Tikki Burger, regular fries and a regular drink, priced at Rs.99/-.
