Last year, eight IPS officers including Amitabh Yash were transferred and promoted in Uttar Pradesh. Born in Bhojpur district of Bihar, Amitabh completed his education in Patna. He did his graduation at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and earned a master’s degree in chemistry from IIT Kanpur. In 1996, he became an IPS officer of the UP cadre.
