The Mike Tyson biopic project has been delayed due to the ongoing health issues of Hollywood star Jamie Foxx. Reportedly, the actor has been given top priority to play Tyson in the biographical television series, which will be executive produced by Tyson, Foxx, Antoine Fuqua and Martin Scorsese. Recently, on an episode of the “Valutainment” podcast, host Patrick Bett-David discussed Jamie’s health with Tyson.

During the discussion, Mike hints that Jamie was going to play him in his biopic. He said, “Well, it was a possibility. I don’t know what is going to happen now. But, you know, there’s a strong possibility. Because, you know, Jamie is closer to my age, so to have him, they were going to do what they did with (the movie) Benjamin Button. They were going to make him look young.
Mike also stated that he had no idea about Jamie’s current health status and also spoke with the host about the unpredictability of life. They said, “Hey listen, we can’t predict our next breath. We don’t know when we’re going to die. After we leave this, bad things can happen.” Also, talking about Jamie’s health update, Mike said, “If we don’t know by now, they don’t want us to know.”

His daughter Corinne shared the news on Instagram on April 12 that her father had “experienced a medical complication” the day before. They also wrote, “We know how dear he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
The Ray actor was in Atlanta filming the Netflix film Back in Action, which also stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. The film is directed by Seth Gordon, director of Foxx’s Horrible Bosses.
